Viagra – A Relief for Men Haunted with ED

"What terrible times I had when I was the age of my kids? They don't have to undergo the same despondent feelings my wife and me had to endure", you lazily say to yourself as the hammock sways to and fro in the gentle breeze. You still dread the day you were diagnosed with erectile dysfunction. "Impotence won't affect my kids", you think reassuredly looking at the magic blue pill in your hand.

Viagra has replaced the reliance on painful surgeries and therapies with the popping habit. Viagra was the first approved prescription pill for the treatment of ED. Erectile dysfunction is the sexual dysfunction of men characterized by the inability of penis to attain and maintain sufficient erection for satisfactory and enjoyable sex.

For long, ED was considered as a potential relationship-breaker by the affected patients. Men and women were reporting emotional upheavals and other physical ailments directly to indirectly attributable to ED. The treatments available were not very popular owing to their invasive and painful nature. No oral drug was approved by the US FDA to treat ED till 1998 when Viagra came to the fore.

Actually, the advent of Viagra in itself was nothing more than accidental. Sildenafil Citrate - the active ingredient of Viagra - had been in use for the treatment of angina for the past 20 years. The results for the treatment of angina were not very positive. But sildenafil citrate proved to be a boon for the sufferers of ED. 4 out of 5 patients showed promising signs in the clinical trials. And the rest is history.

Viagra works within 14 minutes of its intake, in some cases. The effects of the drug last up to 4 hours in some cases. With minimal side effects, Viagra became overnight hit and has posted record sales since its launch. The patients, after a proper prescription from the doctor, can buy Viagra online. The privacy and convenience of the patients is generally well looked after by the sites dealing with Viagra online

Pregnancy – Common Symptoms and How to Cope

Pregnancy can be a new and exciting experience, and for some mothers, a pleasant experience as well. But for many others, the strain on their bodies and their expanding bellies cause many uncomfortable and unwanted symptoms, some that can be helped and prevented, and unfortunately, some that you just have to deal with. If this is your first pregnancy, it will be helpful for you to know what to expect, so that you know what symptoms are normal, and which ones could be signs of trouble, as well as how to manage those bothersome symptoms, so that you can enjoy being pregnant.

Almost every woman will experience bouts of fatigue at some point in her pregnancy. Often, some women report that they have no energy right from the start, and for others, it doesn't set in until the middle of the second or third trimester, it varies greatly from person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy. Don't be upset with yourself for not having the energy you usually do, remember that your body is working hard to nurture and develop a new life, which is sure to be taxing at best. Try to go to bed a little earlier at night, or sleep a little later in the mornings if you can. If you get the chance to nap during the day, take it and don't feel guilty about it. If your mom or your husband offers to do the dishes or the laundry, let them. The more rest you get, the better you will feel, and the healthier you will be for it during your pregnancy. If you are concerned about the fatigue you are feeling, don't forget to mention it to your OB, as in some cases, it could be the start of other problems, such as anemia.

Every pregnancy book you get will tell you that any bleeding or spotting is a major warning sign, and that you should call your OB right away, or go to the ER. That information is true, but some women do experience light bleeding early in their pregnancies, usually mistaken for a period, as it occurs within the first two weeks of conception. You may also feel some cramping along with this. It is a good idea to let your OB know of any bleeding that you experience, as well as cramping, but in most cases, it doesn't signal a problem with either mother or baby, not early on.

Chances are you have already heard all the horror stories about nausea and morning sickness, and if you are lucky, maybe you won't experience either during your pregnancy, but it is rare. You may not be able to eat your favorite foods, or may not be able to handle certain smells, particularly in early pregnancy. Unfortunately, some women don't just experience morning sickness in the mornings; they have it all day, all the time. You should report it to your doctor, but unless you start showing signs of dehydration, or aren't gaining sufficient weight, the doctor won't likely be too concerned.

There are many other common pregnancy symptoms that can occur at any time during the pregnancy, such as breast tenderness, an increased need to urinate, constipation, headaches, mood imbalances (caused by hormonal changes), weight gain, and dizziness, just to name a few. The best advice is that if any symptom is particularly troublesome, or if you are concerned, call and report it to your OB. In most cases, symptoms calm down during the second trimester, and then come back towards the end of the pregnancy, so you should get a break in between, which gives you some hope at least!

Is Taking Viagra Cheating?

In case you’ve just got back from a few years on Mars, you might have already realized that Viagra and the various other ED (erectile disfunction) drugs like Cialis and Levitra have revolutionized the world of physical pleasure. Viagra is Pfizer Pharmacutical’s name for “sildenafil citrate” which basically works to send increased amounts of blood to the male organ. It’s a boon for the older masculine sect who might not be able to perform well as compared to their youthful counterparts. But the underground world of porn has embraced the drug as their savior as well. Even the stud-like young men in those miovies need to keep up with the ladies that show no sign of wearing down sexually. So they are now able to complete their films with the aid of this wonder drug.

As for the normal, middle-aged man, Viagra can be more than just what the doctor ordered. Even for average, sexual –active men, they are always at a disadvantage. The woman can have multiple orgasms and keep that mode going for hours. Conversely, the male is a one-shot wonder. He must recharge and that can take a while. The new ED drugs allow the man to keep erect much longer and pleasure his lady like never before. So, is this drug only for the ED man who formerly had trouble becoming aroused? And what age should that be limited to?

Any man of any age can experience ED. But men are asking their doctors for the drug that have no ED because they realize the vast potential. Now, a young man of 25 can keep up with the unquenching desire of his young female partner. They both can benefit from his ability to stay rigid and then, after they both are satisfied, begin anew an hour or so later. This can go on as long as the drug continues it’s affects. Is it right for the doctor to prescribe this drug to a perfectly healthy man than has no ED? Let’s consider this for a moment.

Although ED is listed as the primary reason for dispensing Viagra, what is the harm to the man, his lover, or society as a whole by allowing him the purchase? Will it become addictive? Perhaps, if he decides to take it every time they make love. But it’s not like cocaine or other detrimental illegal drugs. And if he develops side affects, he should know better and stop using it. But it’s between him and his doctor to make the decision. Short of watching the couple have sex, how is the doctor to know if he’s has ED or not? If the man wants to use this as a recreational, performance enhancing drug, to improve his love life, how does that become a crime in any way imaginable?

We allow him to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol, which can become far more dangerous, especially when driving. Using an ED drug in the privacy of the bedroom will not get anyone killed or maimed. But it just might save a few marriages along the way. Am I advocating all men to take Viagra or their equivalent? Not really. I’m just explaining that men of any age can find it rewarding and no, I don’t think that it’s cheating in any way, shape or form. I think that it can fall into the category of sex toys and other articles of pleasure when used properly by consenting adults. And no I do not have stock in Pfizer nor work for them. I’m semi-retired but enjoy writing articles that can make one think. You may be wondering if I use Viagra and do I have ED? To quote Bob Dylan, the answer my friend is blowin’ in the wind.

What is a Gluten Allergy?

In wheat, barley, rye, and low level oats, there is a rubbery like protein called gluten. This substance is what helps the dough bind, which you would see with baked breads and other baked foods. Although these grains contain gluten, which can cause a gluten allergy in sensitive people, they also contain a number of other proteins that can also cause allergy symptoms.

The four primary proteins found in wheat, rye, and barley includes albumin, globulin, gliadin, and glutenin, better known as gluten. While the symptoms and severity of the symptoms of gluten allergy vary from one person to another, generally a person would experience hives, swelling, abdominal cramps, nausea and vomiting, or asthma. If the person is highly sensitive to gluten allergy, the symptoms could be life-threatening.

The good news about gluten allergy is that if the person has a reaction after eating wheat or wheat product, making an early diagnosis is easy. The challenge is that so many of the foods we eat are made with wheat, making it difficult to tell where the real problem lies. Most often, a trained doctor or allergist would conduct a skin prick test or take blood to confirm that gluten allergy is the problem.

If the reaction to gluten is severe, the solution might be to eliminate wheat and wheat by-products from the diet. However, if the gluten allergy is minor, then reducing the amount of wheat consumed and/or allergy medication or shots might do the trick. If the person with gluten allergy is a young child, chances are he or she will outgrow the allergy.

Gluten Intolerance, also known as Coeliac Disease, is a hereditary disorder that affects the immune system. In this case, when gluten is consumed, the mucosa, which is the lining of the small intestine, is damaged. When this happens, important vitamins and nutrients are not absorbed properly. When a person has this type of gluten allergy, the symptoms would be different in children than they would be in adults.

For children, the gluten allergy would be seen as abdominal distension, impaired growth, abnormal stools, irritability, poor muscle tone, malabsorption, poor appetite, and wasting of muscle. If an adult has this type of gluten allergy, then diarrhea, significant weight loss, abdominal cramping and bloating, constipation, and offensive stools are common.

In both cases of gluten allergy, a doctor would need to perform blood tests to make a confirmed diagnosis. Once done, the only treatment is to have gluten completely eliminated from the diet. Because of this, it is essential that nutrient and vitamin deficiencies be addressed with things such as niacin, iron, thiamin, riboflavin, chromium, magnesium, selenium, folacin, molybdenum, and phosphorus. With proper care and diet, a person with gluten allergy can enjoy a hearty choice of foods without the irritating symptoms.
